Environmental Hazards

Waste Management Awareness

In this course we will look at the importance of waste management, how waste is classified, stored and transported, and through the ‘waste hierarchy’ we will identify the different methods of reuse, recycling or recovery that must be considered before disposal.

Waste management encompasses the different methods for dealing with all solid, liquid, gaseous and radioactive wastes. In this course we will look at the importance of waste management, how waste is classified, stored and transported, and through the ‘waste hierarchy’ we will identify the different methods of reuse, recycling or recovery that must be considered before disposal.

Finally, we will look at the unique challenges of waste management in the oil and gas industry.
