Course Description
On April 20th 2010, an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon rig, which was involved in drilling operations over the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico, resulted in 11 fatalities and the largest accidental oil spill in the history of the Oil and Gas Industry/ Following the Macondo incident, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, commonly referred to as ‘Bessie’, was established to oversee offshore Safety and Environmental performance.
